Also known as B25678/S5678 or Ice 9, This rule has chaotic explosive growth with a twist; In the mess, random coagulated masses of cells, called iceballs, form and grow over time. Post patterns that you have found for this rule in this thread.
Spacefiller:
Code: Select all
x = 10, y = 10, rule = B25678/S5678

This one begins in an interesting way:
Code: Select all
x = 3, y = 1, rule = B25678/S5678
obo!

It appears to almost be a failed replicator.

Some ships listed here

Don't know if there's a collection for this rule anywhere.
I found a couple c/4 diagonal ships.
Code: Select all
x = 59, y = 35, rule = 5678/25678

And a c/4 orthogonal backwards rake:

A small p10 oscillator:
Code: Select all
x = 4, y = 4, rule = B25678/S5678

Here's a predecessor:
Code: Select all
x = 4, y = 4, rule = B25678/S5678

I'm somewhat surprised since this rule is explosive

The closely related B2568/S5678 is perhaps even better described as an "ice-9" rule: this is also randomly exploding, iceballs still grow, and small iceball-ish seeds still appear in the chaos —
but the initial occurrence of any that would be of sufficient size to grow is extremely rare, so you'd normally peg this as a rule where random chaos is the only kinetically stable phase.
