Okay no Golly is just haunted at this point

The strangest issue is happening anytime I try to use Golly on mobile. First I get a short beep, as if someone hung up, except ~200ms in length. After this beep, Golly freezes up for about 5 seconds and begins running normally. This repeats a few times. After this, a message pops up saying that Golly isn't responding, while it clearly is.

Should I get an exorcism???

Get a real computer. At some point I'm going to stop trying to support Golly on mobile devices. Apple and Google keep changing the ground rules, so trying to ensure Golly runs on their devices is a pain in the neck. Their simulators crash on my Mac, probably because they don't want to support OpenGL ES any more. Both companies are not really interested in backward compatibility -- they want you to keep buying new devices.

I somehow managed to copy and paste the Golly window as a pattern?????

The pattern has the same size as my monitor in pixels (1366 x 768), and appears to have the scroll bar on the side and at the top, as well as the options at the top, but that's it.
I cannot remember how this happened, but has anyone encountered something similar?

This happened on my laptop, but it is noticeable when I hit print screen, as it takes a 'snapshot' of the screen and then checks what you want to do with it, and I do not remember this happening. The last thing I remember happening before I pasted the pattern was copying a pattern from a LifeViewer window.
The image data also would not explain other aspects of the image, like the fact that the top of the pattern is solid, even though it is the same colour as the below section which features the options from the top.

That file is for the desktop versions of Golly, not the mobile versions.

It is. The simulators mentioned in my post you quoted should allow me to test the iOS/Android versions of Golly on my Mac, but they both crash when starting up. The problems.html file you linked is not for those mobile versions (they have their own specific problems).
