Please provide more details about your device. Which brand, which model, and precisely which version of Android it is running. Also the screen dimensions and resolution (pixels per inch) might be useful.

I'm no expert on Android, but to me this looks more like a bug in Android than in Golly. If possible, try installing the latest version of Android supported by your phone.

The screen is 1220x2712px, 6.67" with 446ppi.

Version 1.5 is now available on the Play Store and should fix the problem. Thanks for the report!
