New still life

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 10, rule = B3/S23

This pattern creates a half bakery and an interesting oscilator with a maximum population of 8 and minimum of 6. Sort of like a barberpole. Maybe a psuedo-barberpole?

Welcome (back) to the forums! Some things I would like to tell you:
1. the oscillator is a beacon, and the “half-bakery” is just a single loaf.
2. Please use code tags instead of viewer tags:

Code: Select all

insert an RLE here
3. The pattern is not a still life.
There's a lot you can do by just reassembling known components.
