OPERATION
ADR_BOX
SW : move active node to South West
NE : " North East
SE : " South East
NW : " North West
LR : Left arm Read
RR : Right arm Read
LD : Left arm Delete
RD : Right arm Delete
LW : Left arm Write
RW : Right arm Write
1OUT : Read Result 1
0OUT : Read Result 0
First, the active node address is set by sending gliders at the first four channels of the ADR_BOX, it's possible to operate both axes simultaneously. Then the operation command is given by a glider in the I/O box. You can test it from the TEST box. The active node position is never reset.
Timing for the Read Test Glider:
aprox. 60K : enter address logic arms
aprox. 100K : enter display area
153472-153514 : reading reactions
222823 : reading signal reflected
297655 : enter the RIGHT arrow ( backwards )
305209 : enter the 1OUT arrow
325460 : exit path below the Write Test Aborted Glider
If we set "0" in the cell, the reading glider ( meaning "0" ) returns by the left side...
225208 : reading signal reflected
270321 : the signal ( here labeled as "OUT" ) is duplicated, OUT keeps on
going SE, and DUP goes back NW
295844 : OUT enter the left 0OUT arrow ( backwards )
305471 : OUT enter the center 0OUT arrow
325934 : exit path below the Write Test Aborted Glider
404294 : the DUP signal exits the delay HerschelWormCan.
I was interested, because I played with a similar scheme, some time ago. Small annotation file follows.
