Let's classify B3/S23 patterns Taxonomically!

Classify B3/S23 patterns by Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species.
You can add Subclasses, Superfamily, etc. as needed.
The suffixes from Superfamily to Subtribes are the same as in the Animala.

Have Fun!

Not a new idea, though; see Saka's post.

But it's a Rule classification, not a B3/S23 Pattern classification.

First, let's decide the name of the Kingdom.

Better make the rules classification.
I would prefer something like this:
Vita vita - Conway's game of life
Vita replicator - HighLife
Vita pi - Pi puffer life
Expvita desertum - DryLife
Traffica traffica - Traffic Flow
And so on.
Have a good day!

*All objects
** Stable patterns
*** Still lifes
**** Sorted by number of bits (vacuum is here as 0 bits)
*** Oscillators and guns
**** Natural
***** Natural in asymmetric
***** Natural in symmetric only (semi-natural)
**** JLS/WLS/LLS sparkers
***** Strong, medium, weak
**** Shuttles and hasslers
***** Shuttles, hasslers (separately)
**** Conduits
***** Herschel tracks
***** Tracks of other types
**** LCMs and phase change oscillators
***** LCMs, phase change oscillators separately
**** Stabilized wicks
**** Other oscillators (such as statorless p3)
*** Spaceships
**** Orthogonal
***** Sorted by simplified speed
****** For c/2 specifically: XWSS variants and non-XWSS variants are separated
**** Diagonal
***** Sorted by simplified speed
**** Oblique
***** Sorted by direction
** Infinite growth other than guns
*** Linear
**** Puffers
**** Rakes
**** Puffrakes
**** Replicators (none yet)
*** Quadratic
**** Breeders
**** Spacefillers
**** Replicators (none yet)
*** Other growth rate
**** Sawtooths
**** Sorted by growth rate in O(n) notation
** Unstable patterns
*** Short sequences (e.g. honey farm)
**** Dying sparks
*** Common methuselahs (e.g. R-pentomino)
*** Searched-for methuselahs (like the 50K ones)
*** Unstablized wicks and fuses
**** Wicks and fuses separately
*** Gardens of Eden
*** Partials
**** Partials that need to be completed
**** Things such as "one cell off but inaccessible"
*** Everything else

Good! but I feel that Still lifes are Polyphyly.
