This is a thread for formulating and discussing ideas for fixing the Sandbox. Here are the ideas so far:

1. Delete or lock the Sandbox
2. Enforce a strict limit on the number of posts that a user can make in the Sandbox per twenty-four hour period
3. Give a select group of users who are almost mature enough to be moderators for the entire forum moderation abilities that only work in the Sandbox
4. Enforce a time limit between adjacent posts in the same thread in the Sandbox.

I like #3 and #4 better than #1 and #2 because they seem less likely to tempt some users to make posts that otherwise would have gone in the Sandbox in other forums and because they seem less likely to interfere with constructive posts. However, all but #1 may be difficult or unfeasible to implement.
