Clobber is a relatively famous game because it is at the Computer Olympiad, but it is little played by humans.
However,it is a delight to me and I decided to share it here.
Rules
I usually don't post rules of games that I haven't made, but since Clobber rules are so simple,I will post them here.
The game is played on a board of any size. At least one side must be even if we want a fair game. The original size was 6×5 as we will play here but at the Computer Olympiad 10×10 size is used and in general the game is more delightful if the board is bigger(After the first game ends I will consider changing the board size but it depends on you, voters!).
The starting position is like this(W are white pieces,B are black and O are empty spaces):
Code: Select all
W B W B W
B W B W B
W B W B W
B W B W B
W B W B W
B W B W B
White moves first. On their turn players must move one of their pieces to any orthogonally adjacent square that has an enemy piece on it and that piece is then removed from the game.
This will be my first move:
Code: Select all
W B O B W
B W W W B
W B W B W
B W B W B
W B W B W
B W B W B
Enjoy the game!
Have a good day!
