I think there is a relatively good possibility that there could be some secret evil gangs out there and in other forums on Internet that organizedly do crimes without much being discovered,if any. They could be connecting with each other with private messages and could include hackers,data stealers,those who violently hurt others and urge them not to say anything. They would likely be liking to recruit some people who were hurted and feel sadness into their circles.
I am not informed about the defense system of this forum,but there could maybe exist a way to prevent this from happening,yes?It would be really interesting to see moderators arresting masses of evil people here.

Do we really need a conspiracy theory thread?

Re: your theory: There are definitely awful people that exist on the internet, but not that many, particularly not on a tiny random academic forum. There aren't any people that need "arrested", and "it sounds like a fun idea" isn't a good reason. This theory just sows distrust and fear, and I really wish you didn't share it when it's not as much of a big deal as you make it-- like any crime, it's rare.

Then do we need a second one, particularly one that feels like its content will be a bit more.. dangerous? The thread you linked has mostly light-hearted stuff in it afaict (at least right now)
