Re: Move the Box (GAME)
This rule makes intricate patterns if you mix all the states at random. The blocks fall out at 9c/11o, leaving a scraggly, sparkly hull behind.
If you mix all the "canonical" states in a standard-sized box, what is the expected population after evolving without any swaps?
Code: Select all
x = 1, y = 1, rule = MoveTheBox
A!
[[ RANDOMIZE ]]
Code: Select all
x = 4, y = 3, rule = B3-q4z5y/S234k5j

This looks awfully similar to Candy Crush Saga. Maybe a slight tweak could emulate it?
B2n3-jn/S1c23-y is an interesting rule. It has a replicator, a fake glider, an OMOS and SMOS, a wide variety of oscillators, and some signals. Also this rule is omniperiodic.

Re: Move the Box (GAME)
No, since Candy Crush Saga has randomly falling candies from the top, and CA is deterministic, not random.creeperman7002 wrote: November 27th, 2020, 3:04 pm This looks awfully similar to Candy Crush Saga. Maybe a slight tweak could emulate it?

Re: Move the Box (GAME)
This rule is not meant to be random searched, but here is me posting three random starting configs:
And after all boxes have fallen:
Another example of level, this time showing the annihilation of a 3x3 square of boxes:
Code: Select all
x = 33, y = 12, rule = MoveTheBox
