i feel like this one has been discovered before because of how simple it is, but i am not exactly sure because I can't find it its a 150-generation-long methuselah that ends in 3 blocks, 2 gliders, and 1 still-life-ship. I am new to the wiki so sorry if i am doing something wrong
The joke has been said many times already. It's nothing but a parent of
B-heptomino
Also, put rle in a code.
Code: Select all
x = 4, y = 3, rule = B3/S23

here is a fun little thingy I made that likes to explode into a bunch of gliders, oscillators, and still-lifes. any information on it? is this a new thing or has it been made before
Code: Select all
x = 7, y = 10, rule = B3/S23

Okay, seriously? I hate to get involved in this, but just because someone comes along and posts about something that's already well-known does not mean that they're a troll, especially when they explicitly acknowledge that it's probably known. Please, stop being rude to new users because all you're doing is scaring them away. Nobody starts out as a cellular automata expert.

I doubt this object in particular has been noted before, and it's definitely not on the wiki, but unfortunately that's because it's not really that unusual in the grand scheme of things. I'm not really sure how rare it is to find something like this manually, but using
apgsearch far more explosive patterns
have been found, such as this one which is of the same symmetry (C2_2) as the one you posted. Final population is 7868, and it takes 21,444 generations to stabilize.
Code: Select all
x = 31, y = 32, rule = B3/S23

This. Both JP21 and Hunting are being toxic to new users-- something which has been irritating me for several months now-- and they really need to stop behaving like that.

mentioning that is also making me irritating you didn't even have to mention that moose
I will have to say something I did not say before.
I think you guys are being too nice to the users. My way of writing doesn't look that toxic (at least for that one) and
you know guys, I can just rephrase my post to look something like this:
JP21 wrote: August 3rd, 2020, 6:40 pmThis again.
It's just a parent of
B-heptomino...
Place rle in a code:
Code: Select all
x = 4, y = 3, rule = B3/S23
3bo$o2bo$b3o!
Which has exactly the same meaning...
In other cases, if their posts are even dumber than that, that's the time I will be a bit more
"toxic"
Whenever I see Hunting's own toxic posts to new users, it looks just a bit more toxic than my own posts, something other people think is the same toxicity as my own. (not in my mind)
Even Hunting like that, his posts aren't too bad.
It's like I'm being exaggerated for my
behavior on other users. Just look at my rephrasing again.
Here I go again.
Why do you guys enjoy having to be nice while at the same time making my post look exaggeratingly bad saying those? You guys know what? I will disable notifications for this type of threads so I wouldn't be interrupting anything. One last thing:
Is there a reason for having many off-topic posts instead of just 2? (mine and Ian07) It feels sarcastic knowing that toxicity isn't good, but being off-topic is also not good especially when there are many of them just for a small reason. (which is my post

)
You all think my posts are unconditional for each of the users?
WELL all of my posts to new users are conditional because... too hard to explain. just look at this example.
sigh, i hate posting this sort of thing but they force me to talk/explain.
