GeneroLife(2356/3567/4)

Post by BokaBB »

This is one my very old rule. It is very interesting.
Its name comes from fact that it is Generations rule, but very similar to Conway's game of life.
It is relatively simple:most common objects are blocks and barges. However,it also has one very specific object:
Small oscillator that I call ,,contracter" because of its look. It can be combined to make more complex oscillators. Only other oscillator that I have seen so far is a bigger period beacon.
There are also various other still lifes, some from Conway's game of life, some its own.
I also once have seen some small spaceship, unfortunanely it is extremly rare.
If you can, please help me to discover more objects because I am on phone.
Have a good day!

...
1. False suspection. A c/2 ship moves 6 cells in 3 generations obviously, it is normal behaviour.

2. Almost every search program does that. For example, if you try to find a 3c/6 ship with qfind, it will give you 2c/4 too.

3. Please respect the name. It is called Rust Life Search or rlifesrc. There's no such thing called rlifesearch. Same applies to your DirtyLife thread.
