Golly automatic fast-forward

I have been recently having an issue when the step has been automatically increasing every second. I think that there is a way to trigger it via keyboard shortcut, but I can't find a way to stop it despite restarting the program. Is there a way to stop it?

It's probably what's called "Hyperspeed".
Control > Hyperspeed should disable it again.
