Commonly believed things that are wrong

Post by PkmnQ »

Let me start with one you were taught in elementary.

I before E except after C.

Then what is "height"?
Or what about "heist"?

I'm not good at vocabulary, but there are a LOT more examples.

One of my pet peeves is the element thing.

People! None of your elements are elements! They all have different elements inside!
Fire is composed of things that are burning. The elements depend on what you’re burning.
Earth is composed of various minerals, such as quartz. These themselves are typically composed of more than one element.
Water is hydrogen and oxygen.
Air is mainly nitrogen and oxygen.

My favorite element to say is praseodymium.
κ is measurable iff there is a nontrivial elementary embedding j:V→M (M transitive) with critical point κ

A little off-topic thing, I want to just…
Fire - Sulfur
Earth - Silicon Oxide
Water - Dihydrogen Oxide
Air - Oxygen

I hate the whole tomato thing too.
Tomatoes are technically fruits, after all

Trivia:
That the “径” (path) in “书山有路勤为径” should actually be “胫” (leg), since “路” is also "path".
That "pdf format" should be "pd format".
But I'm not sure about this:
That there is a country on the earth in which weather conditions and celestial bodies are mostly managed by residents instead of nature?
