Only one period [GAME]

Find a rule that has only one possible oscillator period.

Extra credit for:

[ ] not period 2 (+8)
[ ] non-explosive (+2)
[ ] apgsearchable (+2)
[ ] no still lives (+1)
[ ] no linear growth other than that period (+1)
[ ] no spaceship periods other than that period (+2)

For no-yl and no-xq there doesn't need to actually have yls and xqs.

Easy:

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 1, rule = B3i/S2i
3o!
Score:
5 (or 8, depending on how you define no yl’s other than that period and no xq’s other than that period. Do you need a yl or a xq respectively for those points to be allowed?)

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 2, rule = B3i/S2i

Code: Select all

x = 2, y = 2, rule = B2e/S2n

That looks pretty good. Doesn't it also win the "only one object game?"

I stand corrected, BUT:

Code: Select all

x = 13, y = 2, rule = B3i/S2i5i
4o$4ob4ob3o!

I will post it there too.

heres my entry:
x = 3, y = 2, rule = B3i/S2a3e
bo$3o!

heres a better entry:
(scores higher)

Code: Select all

x = 2, y = 3, rule = B3ai/S2ae4ar

First of all, two things: The period must be an oscillator period, the extra credit is for only if there exists xq/yl.

Secondly agars and anything growing superlinearly or anything that requires a bounded grid doesn't count.
