The Linear Growth counterpart of the RSS(Really Small Spaceship) project.
I wish this thread is more well-organized than the RSS project so:
Working Tasks
1. Search for all o! p1 c MS linear growth [Sample found]
Completed/Retired Tasks
Patterns
Already posted in Misc Discoveries Thread, but worth posting here since it is the smallest linear growth possible as well - 1 cell.
Code: Select all
x = 1, y = 1, rule = B1e/S1e2ci3y
o!

There are also those 1-cell gun rules, though I can’t find them.

This is quadratic, but I feel that this thread should be renamed REALLY small infinite growth.
Anyways,
A 1-cell clean spacefiller:
Code: Select all
x = 1, y = 1, rule = B1e3a/S03i4e5a6c7c8
o!
Here’s a more durable one:
Code: Select all
x = 22, y = 4, rule = B1e3a/S03i4e5ai6ac78
21bo3$o!
A moderately durable one comparable with ships and a small replicator:
Code: Select all
x = 20, y = 33, rule = B1e3a4a/S01e3i4aet5a6ac78

EDIT:

I'll start a new thread for it... Quadratic is much more hard to track. And if it is infinite growth, I can use uninteresting explosion. I'll make threads for every category.
