Yeah, there are definitely easier ways to do this kind of thing... depending on the details. Mostly, big Herschel loops are pretty much going the way of the dinosaur, so there's not much call to sneak signals into them.

Many newer signal loops have a trivial way to insert signals, if a mechanism like that is needed. For example, if you empty the gun loop in your switchable Herschel factory, you can put a signal back in by sending a glider in to the top syringe from the southeast. It sneaks in right past the NW31 inserter that normally produces the same glider.

It might make sense to post your speculative discoveries in a single thread instead of creating a new one for each. People often use Thread for your unsure discoveries for that kind of thing. You're certainly welcome to create your own dedicated thread instead, but your patterns might get more attention if they show up in one of the usual places, along with questions if you have them, about what's new or what's not.
