elife is a rule that I've come up with, so named because of it's rulestring, B3/S2-e36 (hidesaruleimadeofthesamename4monthsago). The glider, unfortunately, doesn't work, but there's a new glider: A 7c/16o sparky ship evolving from the T:
There are also known p2, p3, p4, and p5 oscillators. (The second p4 can be extended to make a series of larger periods, as it simulates a replicator shuttle):
The T can be combined to make many things, including a period 32 ship:
A period 64 ship (that's also a failed forerake):
A plethora of T-based linear growths can be made, (known) of periods 16,32,64, and 192, the latter of which is shown below (as a handy 15-cell seed because why not? Also a failed backrake):
You might be looking at the yl40 category on the catagolue census I've glanced over, thinking "OwO what's this?" Well, it's made of two T's, but it's not 7c/16o, no, it's actually a 2c/5o double beehive puffer with period 40! It's also the most natural linear growth, making the moral of this post that you shouldn't be afraid to be different:
Not to worry about that failed backrake, as we have a regular, not-failed backrake of period 16:
A siderake definitely exists, although APGsearch flipped out when it encountered it.
This can be paired with a tub (among other things, I'm sure) to create a growing ship (backend is 7c/48o, period 96):
And another growing ship (14c/49o, period 98):
As for eaters, the block (block can still eat things, as in the first p4, but it's not likely.) and eater don't work, but a pair of tubs eats T's. If a more reliable eater could be found, please let me know:
Minimum repeat time for T's is 32:
