Upon trying to show this 8-cell predecessor of the pulsar: It said this was an invalid pattern: My only guess as to why this happens is that it has something to do with starting with an "o" (without a number), since it works just fine when starting with a "b":

This has been fixed and will be in the next released build. Test case is here. Thanks for reporting!
