Wallplicators (345/25678/7)

This is a rule I just created and I am fairly happy with the results, especially because there are natural (and complex) replicators.
Code: Select all
x = 42, y = 19, rule = 345/25678/7
35.ABCDEF$34.ABCDEF$33.ABCDEF$32.ABCDEF$16.A.C.E10.A.B.D.F$14.A.16ACA
EC.E$5.C7.3ACAEA.ABADAF7ABCDEF$2.A.DAD2.E3.3ACBED.FA.CBED.F$5AE6ABADB
FD.F14.8A$3AC3A.4ABADBFD.F14.8A$2.B.B.FCF4.3ACBED.FA.CBED.F$3.A3.E5.
3ACAEA.ABADAF7ABCDEF$14.A.16ACAEC.E$16.A.C.E10.A.B.D.F$32.ABCDEF$33.A
BCDEF$34.ABCDEF$35.ABCDEF$36.ABCDEF!
Basically the way these things work is creating random soup, which explodes into spaceships and a half-constructed copy of themselves. This copy is a bit wider, but the excess simply falls off as spaceships I must say that is not a very straight-forward design, especially for something that occurs in the soup! Really, these replicators are guns that fire themselves and a few other spaceships. I think the reason these things are so common is because they expand quickly and act as a a spacefiller, which means they don't have much competition in the center, and on the edge they're favored due to their symmetry.
Even if this is the only interesting pattern in the rule (I highly doubt it, I see a range of guns and infinite growth patterns coming from this even if nothing else can be found naturally) it's still a neat little find. The replicators also interlock which I find almost cute in a way, haha.
(I hope you like the name, it took me 20 minutes to come up with.)

Nice rule! Here's an interesting oscillator that can be modified to produce oscillators of a few other periods:
Code: Select all
x = 6, y = 4, rule = 345/25678/7
2.A$.4A$F.A.B$.EDC!

I've seen that in other CAs, but the usual method of extending it isn't working. How did you? In other news, this produces a spaceship.
Code: Select all
x = 7, y = 5, rule = 345/25678/7
.EF$D.A2.A$C6A$B.A2.A$.A!
Edit 1; I also found this strange oscillator in the wild, I don't know what period (is there any easy way to check?)
Code: Select all
x = 5, y = 5, rule = 345/25678/7
2.D$.EAE$DF3A$EB2AF$.F.DC!
Edit 2;

I found four oscillators in the wild and they all seem to be different! They're all based around a block. Are there more of them or did I just happen to stumble upon all four close together? Must test! (I haven't done any searching on this rule yet)
Code: Select all
x = 60, y = 58, rule = 345/25678/7
6.AFBA$6.B2AF$6.F2AB$6.ABFA10$6.FD.F$7.2AB$6.D2AD$6.CFAC27$54.DEBA$
55.2AF$54.E2AB$54.ABFA7$3.ADAC$3.B2AD$2.AE2AB$3.BC.F!
Edit 3; (wow this rule is interesting) This simple seed spawns some growing puffers which look extremely like the replicators.
Code: Select all
x = 6, y = 2, rule = 345/25678/7
2A2.2A$2A2.2A!
Edit 4; I also found this thing. Don't ask me what to use it for, I just found it interesting.

All of these were found by placing blocks and dominoes near each other (in both symmetric and nonsymmetric patterns). I find it yields great results, especially when you want to find things like the replicator in the first post.

So that's where those breeders come from... They're also not technically replicators but Wallplicators sounds better than Wallbreeders to be honest.

After all, the main body sure is replicated.
EDIT; The rule B345/S25678 (Wallplicators without the generations mixed in) is kind of interesting. Everything crystallizes into chaotically growing squares. It even has some nice patterns in the middle that DON'T make your eyes bleed like most B2 exploding rules (Because, of course, this is not B2).
