Post any interesting turmites you have here! :P

To start the thread off, here is a sawtooth: {{{1,8,1},{0,1,1}},{{1,8,1},{0,1,0}}}

(you should be able to copy-paste this into Turmite-Gen.py) :roll:

I also have this one where the growth rate slows down(I think it's logarithmic):

{{{1,1,1},{1,8,1}},{{1,2,0},{0,2,0}}}

An oblique highway:

{{{1,4,1},{0,8,0}},{{1,8,1},{0,2,0}}}

You are right.

Also, the first expression cannot be directly pasted into the script because of the lack of commas.

I have found an interesting turmite. To make the rule file, open Langtons-Ant-gen.py and enter LUN. The behaviour of a single ant is boring, but they can do a lot in collaboration.

Corrected.

Would somebody terribly mind telling me the growth rate for this?
EDIT: the question was answered by gameoflifeboy. Thanks!

{{{1,4,1},{0,2,1}},{{0,8,0},{1,1,0}}}

A simple spiral:

{{{1,1,1},{1,1,0}},{{1,8,1},{0,4,0}}}

Another (more round) spiral:

{{{1,8,0,},{0,1,1}},{{1,1,0,},{1,2,1}}}

This appears to be a binary-counter like sawtooth. The number of green cells reaches the maximum 4*n in generation 2^(n+4)-16-8n, and is 4 in 2^(n+3)-8. for n>0.
