Gencols in a cylindrical universe

Has anyone tried to modify gencols so that the collision generation runs on a cylindrical universe of given width? That might lead to glider constructions similar to the suoersting discussed in a different post.
The only thing one needs to care about is that the two patterns that collide still fit onto the cylinder.

Btw, can anybody provide an executable for gencols for Windows?

Thanks in advance,
Hartmut
