I have noticed that this rule tends to exhibit similar general behavior to B3/S23; random patterns can take fairly long periods of time to stabilize, via the 'sort-of long-lasting pattern that produces junk hits some other junk and continues on a while longer than it would have otherwise while producing yet more junk' mechanism. As like other generations rules, oscillators are not as common. Here is a collection of spaceships and puffers:
Unfortunately, the fastest speed I have found (27c/60) is that of a considerably dirty puffer, and no other pattern I have found has that same speed without the amount of debris. The most common space ship has a speed of 5c/12 and the next most common has the very slow speed of 3c/85; ironically the slower speed has so far been the most convenient speed to make puffers with due to huge size of its side sparks and bountiful ways to combine them.
Also, here is a period 53 wick:
I know I have found reactions of the slow smoky ships that produced sideways 5c/12 ships before, but I guess they were not saved.
