Alternative Visualization

Hi,
I have made a simple Game of Life implementation with unconventional graphics, hoping that it may appeal to non-geek type people out there. We must accept that only few people are into Game of Life. Actually, let alone being "into" few people are aware of it. I believe Game of Life is a good start to spark interest in science in children etc. But the standard dots/points visualizations do not appeal to many. So I made an alternative animated visualization, featuring nixie tubes and electric arcs. Both a web version and an Android version are available.
Web player on my website: http://www.topology-opt.com/nixieGOL/NixieGOL.html
on another gaming website: http://www.kongregate.com/games/TiGame/ ... me-of-life
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... GameOfLife
In the web version the mouse leaves a trail of cells, so you don't have much control, I made it this way so that people would see the app in action immediately. The android version is more controllable. As the visulalization is quite computationally intensive, the number of cells I can show is very limited especially on mobile.
So what do you guys think about my approach?
