If we could find a way to supply this dot, probably with a spaceship or maybe tagalong, then this would be a new spaceship / pushalong:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 4, rule = B3/S12i35
b3o$b3o$2o$o!
C [[
TRACK 0 -0.5
PASTET EVERY 2
PASTEDELTA 0 -1
PASTE o! 2 4
]]
:D

Code: Select all

x = 72, y = 54, rule = 15/25/3H

RLifesrc refused to extend that failed spaceship, so maybe it's impossible (running a similar search through LLS would be even greater evidence). But without the dot spark, it was able to quickly find this blobby extension.

Code: Select all

x = 15, y = 22, rule = B3/S12i35

Full reduction to 12 cells minpop:

Code: Select all

x = 0, y = 0, rule = B3/S12i35

Of course, this isn't very interesting since we didn't come up with an actual tagalong, but rather extended the base pattern until it worked.

I could've chose a better username, but oh well.

I think I've learned the ropes of cellular automata. My current interest is range-two LTLs.

Looking for a wickstretcher, or puffer (linear growth in B3/S35)
