Congratulations — an omniship that for every slope (p, q) “almost” reaches the maximum speed.
This raises a question for me (is this thread the right place for it? I’m not sure...):
For which slopes (p,q) are there one or more ships that reach exactly the maximum speed? I only know of 3 examples:
(1,0) xWSS
(1,1) glider
(2,1) “Sir Robin”
Are there any other?
Thread for basic questions
Re: Make a Spaceship With an Adjustable Slope
That's all right now, though a technically better example for (1,0) is 64P2H1V0jmnh wrote: October 20th, 2026, 4:31 pm Congratulations — an omniship that for every slope (p, q) “almost” reaches the maximum speed.

Currently working to improve Life's guns and work on updating SKOPs and Isotropic rules most similar to B3/S23 to Life standards. Will get software to begin searches eventually.

Re: Thread for basic questions
Does this count as a true hassler? And thus does it surpass the p576 R-pentomino Hassler for highest-period hassler?
(EDIT: Negating LW DYK 184: "...that the p576 R-pentomino hassler is the engine-based non-LCM oscillator with the highest known period?")
(Also not meaning to keep prying, but might an improved 2026 oscillator stamp collection be on the way?)
