apparently has something to do with cats
Might be the best since very very very very boat or whatever

Presume it's a pun on cat, but I don't know what cat has to do here?Moosey wrote: April 10th, 2020, 10:20 am apparently has something to do with cats

it's a typo, t and r are side-by-side on the keyboardtestitemqlstudop wrote: April 10th, 2020, 9:37 pm Presume it's a pun on cat, but I don't know what cat has to do here?

My guess is that apgsearch erroneously separated it into a glider and two p30s.Ian07 wrote: April 17th, 2020, 10:59 am Can someone explain why xp120_yd4r4zyd4r4zoowssx3us8zy531zzyn2c6zyy8su3xsswcczyrgcgy213zyrgfgzys3 is marked as a pseudo-object?

Known issue; Catagolue just doesn't know yet how to convert them to the correct symmetry. You'll need to use lifelib for now to retrieve these soups.creeperman7002 wrote: April 17th, 2020, 2:59 pm For some reason, higher symmetry soups in hex rules only show the C1 part:
https://catagolue.appspot.com/hashsoup/ ... 403/b2s34h
Those specific hauls are shown because they're in unusual categories. The 2020 ones, which are blue, are preserved because they have one of the first twenty instances of some object. The 2017 hauls are red because they failed some sort of verification and thus did not make it into the census proper. The normal "green" hauls are autodeleted after enough new green hauls are submitted.Saka wrote: April 19th, 2020, 9:37 am My recent hauls page:

Only seems to give hauls from 2017 and earlier as well as a few I just did. Why? Is this intended?
This was a bug that has since been fixed. Unfortunately the erroneous objects that were submitted under the broken version haven't been deleted yet.mniemiec wrote: May 18th, 2020, 5:29 am I recently noticed a few strange mis-categorizations in rule B36/S245:

I'm not sure how many of these there are.
It currently says it costs 0 gliders, and is a pseudo-object.Ian07 wrote: August 6th, 2020, 10:37 pm xs0_0 apparently costs 3 gliders to make: https://catagolue.appspot.com/census/b3 ... -costs/xs0
Yes, it's a pseudo-still-life because it's the union of 0 strict still-lifes, and 0 is not 1.mniemiec wrote: August 10th, 2020, 5:46 pmIt currently says it costs 0 gliders, and is a pseudo-object.Ian07 wrote: August 6th, 2020, 10:37 pm xs0_0 apparently costs 3 gliders to make: https://catagolue.appspot.com/census/b3 ... -costs/xs0

Pseudo-still-lifes are two or more distinct clusters (>1), and 0 does not qualify - for exactly the same reason that 1 is not a composite number, since it does not have >2 factors.calcyman wrote: August 10th, 2020, 6:17 pmYes, it's a pseudo-still-life because it's the union of 0 strict still-lifes, and 0 is not 1.
(For this reason, topologists often say that the empty space is not connected.)
