B1c would create a total mess. We'd have to stabilize the rule in the day or checkerboard agar.

Or, we could restart, like unname4798 did, but that wouldn't be counting to 50, it would be counting to 26.

Would adding transitions to something like S2-n count?

I don't think it would count, because it would be removing a survival condition, not adding one.

EDIT: I just had an idea: what if we got pass the rule to be an alternating checkerboard rule?
