The rectifiers were only needed to get some use out of two gliders on closely spaced output lanes. The Bandersnatch comes in very handy for separating
input lanes, even though they can't help with separating
output lanes. There's a pair of input lanes with 17hd spacing and a pair of output lanes with 15hd spacing, so the Bandersnatch only solves half of the problem: Snarks can only separate glider lanes that are at least 18hd apart (but see
EDIT2 below).
Looks like we can get away with just one engine, as long as we're allowed to use Goldtiger997's trick with a block to separate two of the closely spaced outputs.

Above, we don't have a usable 4G->6G, because two of the gliders would just have to be eaten -- it's easy to make an oscillator, but not a gun (and if we just want an oscillator then the old 3-block mechanism works fine with just Snarks.)
That means we need to move to something like this 5G->7G --

Haven't done the analysis to see which outputs should be connected to which inputs, but it looks like it will be possible:
on the input side there are three gliders of one parity and two gliders of the other parity,
and the outputs include four gliders of one parity and three gliders of the other parity,
except it's easiest to just add an eater to one of the two output lanes to the NW (otherwise you have to do the
rephaser reaction a couple more times to get the lanes separated by at least 18 cells, to where Snarks can get hold of them without interfering with each other).
So that leaves three gliders of each parity, and that's all we need to connect up just a single engine's outputs to its inputs, with one glider left over to use as a gun output.
EDIT: Oops, I didn't include overlap between input and output lanes in the analysis. There's still a problem: without rectifiers, we don't have a glider turner or shifter with a transparent lane near enough to the output lane to keep the overlapping SE input and NW output gliders from interfering with each other... and I don't
think there's a known eater5-type eater that's narrow enough to knock out the NW output glider without getting in the way of the other output glider.
Which means the blueprint might have to be a 6G -> 7G, unless someone can come up with a better trick (I wouldn't be at all surprised if I've forgotten something obvious). The white glider is one of many options that can be used for suppression:
