No. That post was a part of dominating the forums for the first time (and last time). Allow me to explain. @EV2, the best current solution is to save your patterns frequently. Also, I don't think that switching to QuickLife will really help, since (at least for me) when Golly stops responding, it usually does so out of the blue while I'm doing something else.
Still, I think there should be some sort of "autosave" feature, and I think I requested one at some point (but in confusing language).
