I've run a script to hunt for opportunities where a new component could be helpful. Some recipes contain complicated sequence of steps that ultimately only make a small change to the target. Finding a single step which does the same work would cut down such recipes a lot, and (more importantly?) make it a lot easier for transfer-like tools to apply the same transformation. This is especially the case for sequences that involve getting over a large population hill in the middle.

Here's a wishlist of ones that look useful to me. I have no eye for how difficult they would be to pull off!
