After years of attempts, you finally compiled and ran APGsearch, but later the "antivirus" treats it as malware then halts it before the APGsearch can submit a haul.

You make a rule, but you find 100000 bugs in it, and your computer explodes

You made a stable 3b1t reflector but your computer spontaneously combusts, leaving you terribly injured and hospitalized for the rest of your life.

there isnt much worse than that. restart:
you find a giant synthesis component of the so called "unsynthesizable" oscillator

You are browsing Catagolue and finding a soup being an unsynthesizable still life.

You won the Pattern of the Year contest because you are just drawing in the wrong programGolly.

Golly.
You find a Goban-based p19 gun from plain luck.

You wrote a program that enumerates census of a glider crashing onto a 3G GPSE. The program really works, and the outcome is multiple files each containing an RLE. But the outcome is multiple files.

You apgsearch a rule but you discover, after far too late, that the only stable objects you discovered in that rule are really rare, because most soups just die.

You find a rule that has no typical chaos or explosions, but it's not APGsearchable, or else you'll get many oversized soups.

You find a rule and APGsearch it. Unfortunately, there is only one type of stable object. Fortunately, it is insanely common.

You run a script that creates a random 3-state isotropic rule, and you find that the resulting rule is already Turing complete. Unfortunately it's only Turing complete and nothing else interesting.

You apgsearch a rule but all the objects you found using apgsearch were all known by you from manual fiddling.

You set up a script to pump rules into APGsearch, but it pumps every rules it find into APGsearch, and later both the script and APGsearch start to infect other computers with help of unknown software and salvage the resources for more APGsearches…
(Catagolue server would be out of service if that really happens)

You set up a script to pump rules into APGsearch, but it pumps your script into APGsearch, causing APGsearch to emulate your script, which pumps your script into APGsearch inside APGsearch (and so on), causing an infinite loop and a computer crash. Cursed APGsearch with the scripr then spreads into other computers, causing all computers to crash. The virus further spreads to Catagolue and other file-hosting services, so that they shut down. A part of the Internet will be gone.

A malware hijack your APGsearch to upload false soups. The false soups all produce either enguneered objects or pathological patterns, and they remain in Catagolue until 2034, which someone finds that the soups are fake and deleted them.

A virus hijacks yours and other's APGsearch to upload false soups. The false soups all produce either engineered objects or pathological patterns, and they remain in Catagolue for good. You get the glory for first discovery of a c/8 spaceship, until someone realises the truth and you fall from the leagues of fame.

You found no blocks in a soup. You declare this as notable and post it, but a minute later you're banned.

You found no blocks in a sparse 16x16 souo. You declare this as notablls and post it, but a minute later you're banned from this world for this reason: You made a typo.

You find a c/11o spaceship but your Wi-Fi connection terminates right as you were about to post it and the only copy of it was on LifeViewer. You also can’t get your router fixed, use cellular data, or get a new one because of where you live.

You try to revive CA, but everyone are all against CA - they thought that CA would harm them in some way.
