Agree. Then CH should be /x/ like H in Chinese.
I was thinking of getting rid of ch altogether but ok good idea.
D is currently /d/ - to make things wierder, how 'bout /t/? Like Danish and 彝族语言.
I don't know. I mean d is /t/ in English sometimes like "talked". If we are going to have different letters stand for different sounds and/or vice versa, we should have precise rules on where to use what. French is a good example of this.

Yeah. We are going to.
I mean it shouldn't be like English with vague rules and of tons of exceptions. French orthography is very well defined; once you learn the rules, practically no word is beyond your reach of pronunciation.

I won't allow the same sound to be represented by two or more different letters. This language MUST be well organised.
Schaparelio agreed on my sound for sh and I vote for my suggestion on it.
Ch should either be the sound Č (can't find its value now) or the sound t + curve (Ć is it I think). Better first.
/c/ is too weak and /ts/ is better.
Night is Zemeu and not Zimeu,I made a mistake.

If you don't want the same sound to be represented by two different letters than we should find another sound for c because if we use your suggestion for c the the letters ts and c would have the same sounds.

Move on now. Do we all agree on letter E?

Since when are you Schaparelio?

I say e is /ɛ/, I think we agree on this. Ask BokaBB too.

Since this:
BokaBB wrote: October 12th, 2020, 8:17 am I am not really sure. I am not that often reading about IPA sounds.
Other proposals about the words with more than 1 syllable and no preffixes or suffixes?
Schaparellio,your words sound Turkish. I hope they aren't real Turkish words. I don't want the language to sound like Turkish.

Ts letter combination should not exist and will be replaced with c anywhere where it appears.
Schaparelio is a my shorter surname for Schaparelliorbust since his name is long.

We should vote on sounds. Only those who have contributed something to this language can vote.

E -/e/
A -/a/
I - /i/
Ch - Č(not sure about IPA sound)
Zh - weird Z (I am currently on laptop)
Ae - turned A or ae
Y - /j/
C - /ts/
Sh - s with a curve
Saka and Moosey can't vote since they haven't contributed absolutely anything.
Eu - time
Abni - far,distant
Ab- or aba- (the second if the word begins with a consonant) - a preffix for something far and distant
Ko - common
Geko - uncommon
Ge- - independently means no,negates things or decreases intensity as a preffix

e = /ɛ/
a = /ɐ/
i = /ɪ/
ch = /x/
zh = /d̠ʒ/ or /ʒ/
j = /d̠ʒ/ or /ʒ/
ae = /a/
y = /j/
c = /t̠ʃ/
sh = /ʂ/

Let's also vote on whether we should have w (/w/) and th (/θ/ and/or /ð/). Give my vote on j and zh to the majority. For your vote to count, please write the sounds in IPA.

I have a proposal for this language's name:Komal (literally ,,common speech"). It won't be approved unless 3 users voted for it. You only can vote if you have made at least one post here before this one. I won't vote.
When creating new words be careful with the suffixes -ut,
-e and -p,as well as this preffix:
Ap- indicates that something is artificial (Aprigep - street light,literally ,,artificial star"). Can stand alone in the sentences like this: That thing is artificial.
These allow expressivity when creating new words,but also can make problems if their existence is forgotten.
Le - this
Able - that (correct me if these were already made)
Haven't we made concensus about a as /a/,e as /e/ and i as /i/?Whoever wins,we need a compromise. The solution should include something from everyone's ideas. I don't think the language should be without /a/.
What Moosey contributed?

It should have /a/. I think you accepted ae to be the sound you desire. I would like for a to be /a/. It is more logical.

I suspect that using diagraphs to make a single sound is going to make the language unnecessarily complicated.
Also, what if, for the consonants, we 'use different base symbols for different places and use different accents for different manners (or the other way around)?
I am tentatively considering myself back.

As only a demonstration of concept that does not reflect my intentions for which specific symbols should correspond to which specific sounds, maybe n̄ will represent a bilabial fricative, ṅ will represent a bilabial plosive, v̄ will represent an alveolar fricative, and v̇ will represent an alveolar plosive.
