There isn't a left-justify or right-justify option for labels, is there? I just tried converting one of otismo's "Text-in-Pattern" experiments into label annotations.

It worked great, but the text ended up centered line by line, where it was left-justified in the original. Would left-, right-, and center-justification of multiline text be an easy option to add?

I'm not sure if left-justified labels should start exactly at the label coordinates (and extend rightwards), and right-justified labels should end at the label coordinates... maybe it's easier to keep on always centering the text around the label coordinates. But it might make it easier to hit the right label location the first time, for text that is supposed to be near something but not overlapping it.

There is now

Code: Select all

x = 0, y = 0, rule = Life
!
[[
LABELALIGN LEFT LABEL 0 -4 32 "This label\nis left aligned\nnicely.\nI love labels!"
LABELALIGN RIGHT LABEL 0 0 32 "This label\nis right aligned\nnicely.\nI love labels!"
LABELALIGN CENTER LABEL 0 4 32 "This label\nis centered\nnicely.\nI love labels!"
]]
