That’s interesting. It shuttles ants back and forth, but it also needs a constant stream of ants to support itself. Shouldn’t this type of repeater be called a “dependent ant reflector”?

That’s interesting. It shuttles ants back and forth, but it also needs a constant stream of ants to support itself. Shouldn’t this type of repeater be called a “dependent ant reflector”?
For the repeater, maybe something like "45-step ant shuttle"? (because of those ants going back and forth) An ant reflector would be something like one of those two things at the ends.
