Above in this post I have hidden 8 things (and 2 in the title) akin to the one Saka found. Can you find them all. I have not hidden anything in this paragraph (or have I?) I will share a resource I used to make these annoying puzzles once someone solves this.

Hmm... wouldn't that require infinite complexity within the computer's glider streams, though, because the infinite set of all still lifes has infinite complexity?danny wrote:imagine a puffer that is actually a giant caterloopillar-oid computer that runs a search to puff every single still life of every single bit count before moving on to the next. however it would also need to figure out how to synthesize said thing, which is impossible if a 'garden of eden still life' occurs, which i believe is very unlikely. but it would also be really tough in the synthesis of hard still lifes
just a thought
Danny means a still life that is its only parent.danny wrote:imagine a puffer that is actually a giant caterloopillar-oid computer that runs a search to puff every single still life of every single bit count before moving on to the next. however it would also need to figure out how to synthesize said thing, which is impossible if a 'garden of eden still life' occurs, which i believe is very unlikely. but it would also be really tough in the synthesis of hard still lifes

Yeah, a solution to the unique father problem. But, as I think I said before, I'm fairly certain such a pattern would be impossible anyway because encoding an infinite number of glider syntheses would require infinite complexity.wwei23 wrote:Danny means a still life that is its only parent.
