I just noticed something in the life cycle of block and glider which could potentially be VERY IMPORTANT. (and I mean that quite literally)

Notice anything interesting on the upper right of the pattern? That's right, It's block and glider again, and while it pretty much immediately gets swallowed by debris, the fact is it appears again and has the potential to be used a a spaceship engine. I calculated its velocity if someone were to succeed in making it a spaceship too. It moves seven cells vertically and three cells horizontally, and I am pretty sure there is no known spaceship with that velocity. This simply demands further exploration, because if it can successfully be stablized it could blow gemini out of the water in terms of the smallest oblique spaceship

New user e.e... I tend to mess around with a 16x20 toroidal array of GOL on an ipod app and I accidentally discovered this oscillator. It appears to be two pre-pulsars that mess up eachother's replication:

I've been reading on the wiki about patterns for a while, and at one point I saw a period-72 oscillator (forgot the name) that is similar: it was discovered in a toroidal array and eventually made finite with blocks...
EDIT: I probably should have used Golly's format for the pattern, but I'm currently unable to use my computer which Golly works on due to a relative sleeping in the room containing it.
EDIT 2: Two things about the oscillator I probably should've said before. One, the reaction that produced it appears to have made it at the edge of the grid, as the middle area is never used to my noticing. Second, the oscillator is either period 20 or 21 (I'm not entirely sure).
EDIT 3 (About 8-10 hours after edits 1 and 2): If I remember the behavior of this thing correctly, I believe that the side parts of it could probably be eaten with something and that's about it in terms of stabilization. I might look into it later, but it's late in my time zone.

I extracted the important components from it, and it turns out it's just a lom interacting with a honeyfarm predessor in a specific way, meaning this could probably be easily replicated with minimal effort. Of note is the fact that a pre-pulsar appears twice before the dead spark coils emerge.
