An 857-gen methuselah:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 4, rule = B37/S289V2

Two 4x4 patterns produce c/5 diagonal gliders:

I tried these patterns in Square Cell which supports the range 2 von Neumann neighborhood and found that they each produce the same (2,1)c/5 knight ship!

Oh, sorry. I must have missed one cell of displacement (nothing about object classification was automated).

Noticed this: A potential c/141 puffer, if anybody's up for the challenge of figuring out how this rule works, how to make glider puffers, destroy debris, etc. It would take a considerable amount of time:

Code: Select all

x = 2, y = 7, rule = B3-ckq/S02-c3-en4-ajw

Not a puffer, unfortunately. Dies out around gen 6320 and its debris never actually repeats, although there's probably a way to stabilize it.

It is. Here's a better predecessor:

Code: Select all

x = 12, y = 4, rule = B2e3-a4/S23-a4-a7e

It's diagonal to the bottom-right; run it in Golly.

I found something similar in a b2 rule, although I was saving it for my super duper secret project. Here it is:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 6, rule = B2-ik3c/S2-k3i4
b2o$o2bo2$bo2$bo!
I call it the 'spotlight' and I'm pretty sure it's aperiodic.

B34i5y/S23 is interesting. I have posted about the (11,3)c/93 failed replicator before:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 21, rule = B34i5y/S23
b2o$2obo$b2o17$4bo$3b2o!
There is a very easy way to produce a natural LWSS, stemming from a 7-cell seed (which creates two LWSSes which collide with eachother) and a 3-cell cleanup pre-block, although I'm sure it can be fit into a smaller bounding box by being moved:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 21, rule = B34i5y/S23
b2o$2obo$b2o17$4bo$3b2o!
A p5 sparker predecessor. The sparker itself is, interestingly enough, a polyomino in 2 phases:

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 5, rule = B34i5y/S23
3o$o2$o$3o!

Smaller LWSS:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 13, rule = B34i5y/S23
b2o$2obo$b2o9$bo$2o!
Also, you posted your LWSS seed where you wanted to post the replicator.
EDIT: Er... is this technically the smallest LWSS seed?

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 9, rule = B34i5y/S23
3bo$3bo$3bo4$o$o2bo$3o!
Nontrivial solutions:

Code: Select all

x = 8, y = 6, rule = B34i5y/S23
5b3o3$o$o2bo$3o!

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 9, rule = B34i5y/S23
2o$o5$bo$bo2bo$b3o!
The second is a 13,857-gen methuselah.
Also, kinda-trivial/obvious smallest MWSS seed:

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 3, rule = B34i5y/S23
o4bo$b2obo$2o2b2o!

It's still a replicator per se, sort of like this pattern:

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 10, rule = /2/3
