Hi Guys,
We had to do the GoL for school, so I thought I try myself in Unity.
I had to do this for school, so i thought why not showing it here to ask you if the teacher's gonna like it

Welcome to the forums!
A good place to start is the LifeWiki, since it has many patterns to learn about.
A few tips:
Methuselahs (patterns that take a long time to stabilize, usually small ones) and still-lifes (patterns that do not change from generation to generation) tend not to be interesting discoveries.
Many (probably all) "small" objects have been documented already. And by "small" I mean objects within a 7 by 7 bounding box.
If you want to make new discoveries, your best bet is to use a search engine. (See "Scripts" for details)
Gamedziner, you surely wrote a great message, but I think spambots do not deserve that much attention.
I can give you one nontrivial tip on recognising spambots: look whether their messages could be posted on a completely different forum and still seem pretty relevant. For example, "This is a great post, I want to learn more about the subject!" looks like spam, and "What is LWSS?" does not.

Some bots I've seen here have managed to work around that.

"what spaceship produce switch engine?"
Text like that probably comes from a Markov chain trained on other posts on the forum. Markov chains rarely produce full grammatically correct sentences, so this is one way to recognise them.
