B35678/S (Interesting p2 phoenixes)
B35678/S (Interesting p2 phoenixes)
I've been searching this rule for a while. It runs preposterously fast on apgsearch (I can get up to 200000 soups/second on apgmera) so searching it really isn't a problem. (Although more people searching it at once will definitely lead to faster results!)
I'm mainly searching this rule to see if phoenixes with periods other than 2 can exist (although there are indeed many in Seeds and LFOD, they are explosive B2 rules and less closely related to Life).
Catagolue page: https://catagolue.appspot.com/census/b35678s/C1
Would ships be possible in this rule? Given the way it decomposes rapidly and barely ever escapes its own bounding box it doesn't seem likely at all, but the glider database doesn't give any specific reasons why there couldn't be.

Re: B35678/S (Interesting p2 phoenixes)
So those periods can exist in b3 rules... nice.velcrorex wrote:Here are oscillators of periods 4, 6 and 8. Found with wls.
I'm kind of surprised that p4 hasn't appeared in a soup yet (especially with my haul size), considering how small it is.
EDIT: I see you found a bunch, but then again those are from symmetric soups...

Re: B35678/S (Interesting p2 phoenixes)
Currently searching for xp10s.
What is the biggest apghaul you can submit in this rule?
EDIT: 100,000,000 soups would roughly equate to half the amount of objects in my usual CGoL haul submissions.
