The very first heisenburp reaction I ever remember seeing, many years ago, involved a honeyfarm hitting a glider in a manner very similar to this. In trying to see if it was the same mechanism, I tried looking up Heisenburp in the wiki and the lexicon, but both sources appear to have very little information on them (and the forums don't have much either). It may have been a similar but slightly different mechanism, as I don't recall the honeyfarm turning into two pis.M. I. Wright wrote:I found this honeyfarm heisenburp pretty amusing:Code: Select all

This makes me wonder, how can you convert that signal into a glider? Keeping the machine intact of course?Dean Hickerson wrote:Destroying them is fun too:muzik wrote:Making still lifes is fun
Technically you can't, because the machine isn't really intact after the signal goes through it. Its internal structure has changed, significantly and almost certainly irrevocably. You'd have to destroy it and rebuild it from the ground up to get the original state back.muzik wrote:This makes me wonder, how can you convert that signal into a glider? Exactly right. We probably shouldn't even call it a "signal", since it destroys its conduit.dvgrn wrote:Technically you can't, because the machine isn't really intact after the signal goes through it.muzik wrote:This makes me wonder, how can you convert that signal into a glider?
