Golly should support this notation:

[danieldb]

http://www.ibiblio.org/lifepatterns/neighbors.html

Support?

[fluffykitty]

People are considering it (possibly because of apgsearch 0.54+0.xi)

[dvgrn]

People are considering it (possibly because of apgsearch 0.54+0.xi)

Except... it's actually this version of the table --

http://www.ibiblio.org/lifepatterns/neighbors2.html

Based on my survey last month, very nearly no software anywhere supports or ever supported the original neighbors.html table.

It appears as if the neighbors2 version of Hensel format may be supported by LifeViewer before it finds its way into Golly, but with any luck Golly will catch up before too long.
