Two of them can be made even smaller. You should probably be familiar with the hoeyfarm predecessor, as it is the most common way that honeyfarms form (e.g. of all the 2-glider collisions that make one, all but one do it via this predecessor).

Seen one of those before.

Are you sure you didn't make it through modifying an existing one?

Also, a 40 cell long line makes four boats, and 45 cell long line makes four bookends surrounded by random junk.

Have you heard the term "ragequit"? It's what happens when a video gamer gets so frustrated that they put the controller down and do something else for a while, usually because they almost succeeded.

... Yeah, but drawing the glider in there by hand every time I want to use the reflector is still going to be a little annoying.

I'm glad to see Kazyan is still out there Spartan-Snark hunting, though. Something is going to show up eventually (and I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's a color-changer, not a color-preserver like this one).

The point here being that the glider can't enter the reflector from the outside.

What's the name of the pattern this evolves into? Made of varying sized triangles?

The Seirpinski triangle, or at least the lattice version. It has some cool mathematical properties, e.g. it is Pascal's Triangle with even numbers black and odd numbers white. It can be made by repeated XOR, which is how it arises in cellular automata. Someone has made a seirpinski breeder in Highlife if I'm not mistaken, possible because the highlife replicator strands naturally perform XOR on the strand every replication cycle.

Knew I'd heard that word somewhere...

(Also, house is technically a replicator in normal life, although it gets destroyed by the debris of the previous house)

I managed to make a tiny block puffer:
