Glider+Block

Post by danieldb »

As you can see here:

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 6, rule = B3/S23
o$2o2$bo$2o$obo!
A glider interacting with a block creates a pi, but it can also create methuselahs with other objects.
Glider+Boat/Ship=997 Generations:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 7, rule = B3/S23
bo$obo$b2o2$2bo$b2o$bobo!
Glider+Mango=2585 Generations + A Pentadecathlon at 1979:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 8, rule = B3/S23
2b2o$bo2bo$o2bo$b2o2$2bo$b2o$bobo!
Glider+Fleet=1932 Generations:

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 14, rule = B3/S23
4b2o$3bobo$3b2o$b2o$obo5b2o$2o5bobo$7b2o$5b2o$4bobo$4b2o2$5bo$4b2o$4bo
bo!
Will post more later.

Not to discourage you, but glider collisions of all objects under 16? bits were investigated by Koenig...
I personally think it would be thankful if you write a post on an existing topic instead of opening a new topic, but I'm not sure if others would agree with that.
