I know I have Mostly Boring Rules, but I think this rule is notable enough to warrant its own thread.
I spent weeks looking for the perfect rule for engineering, yet none meet my requirements. However, the answer came to me in a completely different search...
The Blocks
In Blogic, a block may act like a splitter for gliders with repeat time 27:
Code: Select all
#C [[
#C RLE Glider bo$o$3o!
#C PASTET EVERY 27 PASTE Glider 5 0
#C ]]
x = 8, y = 8, rule = B3-ekqr4jz5cy6n/S2-in3-cekq4aw5-ce

With this tech in hand, I constructed a NOT gate:

The Rulespace
Blogic's rulespace is B3acijn4j5cy6n/S2-in3aijnr4aw to B2ik3-kq4-qrw5-ikn67e8/S02-n3-cekq4-ikqr5-c678 with 2^54 rules. This is the rulespace of the splitter. Adding the eater gives B3acijn4j5cy6n/S2-in3aijnr4aw to B2ik3-ekqr4-anqrw5-iknq67e8/S2-in3-cekq4-iknqr5-ce678. Feel free to post any rule in either rulespace!
The Goals
Computing:
- Short-term: Create better logic gates
- Mid-term: Make a W110 unit cell/strip
- Long-term: Make an APGassembly computer.
- Short-term: Find recipes
- Mid-term: Make a UC arm
- Long-term: Build a self-constructing spaceship
- Short-term: Construct a p21 glider loop
- Short-term: Try to find spaceships with velocity of:
- c/3o
- c/4o
- c/5o
- 2c/5o
- c/6o
- c/7o
- 2c/7o
- 3c/7o
- c/3d (possible because of S4w)
- c/5d
- Long-term: Prove omniperiodic.
- And slower if you have time
- Mid-term: Apgsearch all symmetries to 25 000 000 soups (About 600 soups per core)
- Mid-term: Find oblique spaceships (likely (2, 1)c/6 or (2, 1)c/5 because of S4w)
See User:NNlk05/OCA:Blogic/Stamp_collection. (Still WIP; in the meantime, look at the Catagolue censuses)
Have Fun!
