I've always thought that the much smaller version looked like a knife.

TBH, I think the (34,7)c/156 ships have been unnamed for long enough that Unnamed (34,7)c/156 ship and Much Smaller (34,7)c/156 spaceship have become their names, and in any case Luka Okanishi and/or FWKnightship would have to sign off on their names

Again, it's up to the discoverers of an interesting pattern to name, forgo naming, or decide the unspecified name is what they want to go with. But since so many things in life/OCA exist it's often best to NOT name something beyond a boring, but descriptive, name.

Given that the (28,3)c/84 spaceship’s article is already named “annelid”, in my opinion, the best name for the spaceship is “annelid”. However, just like the silk moth’s article, the naming suggestion “(praying) mantis” should be mentioned as an alternative proposal (by NNlk05), just like “sea spider” and “silk moth” are both names for the (15,11)c/107 spaceship found by Nora Brown.

Yeah, the silk moth article makes a good template for terms that are really just naming proposals, that didn't make it to the status of an actual name -- a separate sentence at the end of the paragraph: "Another proposed name was sea spider." It seems to me that that's the kind of sentence that can be casually removed after a year or two, after nobody ever actually calls the spaceship "sea spider".

If we try to catalogue all the proposed names for every spaceship, then effectively multiple names get used up on each spaceship, to no particularly good purpose.

I do think "annelid" is a fine name for the current edition of the spaceship, referencing the segmented design. If the spaceship eventually gets a radical enough redesign, it might not be such a good name for future editions -- but we can worry about that when we get there!

All of which is to say, I've been highly tempted to remove all reference to "praying mantis" from the "annelid" article, since the first sentence currently implies that somebody has actually called the spaceship a "mantis" and expected to be understood -- which is definitely not the case. It was just a proposal by one person.

I've also been highly tempted to say something or other about "annelid" having been applied to the LifeWiki too soon, and by the wrong person. (B468S02357 uploaded Annelid.png, which is pretty much an inventor of a term documenting their own invention.)

The name is fine, but it's better not to get into the habit of "jumping the gun" like that. Not to go into details, but there have been overenthusiastic namers in the community before, and it was a great relief when they were finally persuaded to stop documenting their own terminology on the LifeWiki. The process can seem frustratingly slow, but if a term is good enough then eventually someone else will document it.

I would call it the big boat fleet because it contains 4 components, and they can be seen as big versions of the boat

I don't think that name is consistent with current still-life naming conventions.

Firstly, since there are four of the objects, it should probably include the suffix Quad (like Quad Loaf)

Second, these objects don't really resemble boats at all, and more resemble loaves. Even so, note that Ship & Boat differ by 1 cell and have drastically different naming conventions.

Thirdly, this is not really an important object, and if it were to be named it would affect a large number of still-lifes which use it

Lastly, since this object is really a less common variant of Teardrop, it probably would need a different name.

More macroship names.
The really big 4.85 sloped ship should be called "Really big box" because it's somewhat square.
The smaller one should be called "Dart but it's the macroship" because it looks like a dart but there's also a microship named dart and dart but its the macroship is a macroship while dart isn't.
The new lifeviewer sized demonoid should be called the fun sized demonoid.
