Or what is the correct way to call its speed? 8c/8 in the space of 5 to infinity?

The pattern you posted doesn't "eat" blocks, nor is it a climber.

The correct way to refer to the pattern you posted is "an 8c/8 superstring", where "superstring" means "lightspeed wave".

As previously mentioned in this thread, "mdj(g)-seed(s)" are not notable. They are better referred to as "Herschel-producing patterns" and probably shouldn't even be posted here unless they produce a rare object, such as a switch engine or a loafer.

The still-life your pattern produces four times is an eater head siamese eater tail, which is the 57th most common still-life in Conway's Game of Life. It's rare enough that only one in 145,184 16x16 soups produce it.

But can you help me make a two-by-two block eater in a 5-cell superstring? I can't! I couldn't!
For an artistic idea (for inspiration), I needed to find loops, cycles in string 5 to infinity. I found them! It takes a long time to explain. It's probably just fantasy. Well, I've already fixed the link to the arithmetic problem and the photo of the donut planet. And about the blocks? The question about the blocks? Answer. The chronology of awareness. I first found a cartridge that moves with a musar into a soda string of blocks. 4x4 live cells - 4x4 dead cells. But if the string was rolled into a torus, then the starting pattern broke on the garbage. It didn't suit me. And for a couple of days I was looking for a way to improve the starter pattern so that it wouldn't leave any garbage behind. And the garbage is blocks. So it turned out that a number of blocks are deleted two after two before they have been created. Therefore, as with my mdg(j) - seed collection... Looking for a grandfather, great-grandfather in generations is useless. Not... Fascinating! And inspiring! But... The problem begins with the term. My links open quite crookedly. And once again, I apologize if I'm getting in the way, confusing the terms. Oh, yeah! Thanks for the tip about the "super string". But the rest of the terms are terrible. I can't use the knowledge base because of the language barrier. It's very strange.

An ostelator, an enclosed space flashing light? And "super strings" usually don't flash lines so beautifully...

Here are the before and after illustrations so that you (the reader and the author) don't get confused by the quotes yourself.

An oreginal solution. And I didn't even think of the simplest option. But I wanted to leave a clean, empty field. Or it would be nice if the airframe were to detach from the block.

19, 23 - random multiplicity of auto-rotation of the flashing light? Why? Just like a random line?

The formula multiplicity is 4*n+3

And the paradox of self-destruction. If you revive two blinking cells, there will be no multiplicity. Cool! What would that mean for this 5-string situation?

Gosper's 16-barrel shotgun is reduced to 12 barrels. 4 barrels shoot at each other in pairs. Can't get rid of it? You can make 16 barrels, but it doesn't look pretty. But then the Gosper gun... In general, I messed with my old theme. Let this gun be called a minimal round (quadrate?) Gosper's 16-bit rifle. Center point(center radius?) 3 by 3 cells.

Would you like to know what OCA is? New rules of the cellular automaton? What is the correct abbreviation?

Of the fundamental terms, the most interesting is the conditional speed of light. In fact, this is an iteration, a generational change. The time it takes to change the cells? Or the cells themselves (two patterns)? I'm happy on the forum, but I keep getting excited about it. That there is no clear distinction between statics and dynamics, quality and quantity, movement and constancy in terms of terms.

Angle mapping... I doubt it. And it would be necessary to analyze the square! How many docking positions are there? Ah! The main division is alternating left with right when turning 90 degrees. The range. That's the basic ambiguity.

Re: Sober ABC's thread

Post by Sober ABC »

Is there a collection of glider grandfathers by cell, by square? Well, what would you like to gather all the parents? What would... The glider consists of 5 cells. I found the chain 10-6-5.

And how many cells does the glider-90 consist of? And in guns, pistols?

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 5, rule = B3/S23
bo$4o$o4bo$bo3bo$b2obo!
12-13-16-11-13-12-15-12-13-5 at Gosper's gun

Code: Select all

x = 33, y = 13, rule = B3/S23
24b2o5b2o$24b2o5b2o2$27b2o$27b2o4$4b2o$4b2o12bo$18bobo$2o5b2o9b3o$2o5b
2o11bo!
And the gun from Herschel (Simkin - excuse me, I remember the last name only by ear) turns out to be a chain of more than 20 steps. It starts with 7 cells in the form of a "four" - the stem of my favorite term mdgj-seed.

In the glider's birth chain, it is necessary to discard the extra cells that do not affect the delivery of the cell. Well! I'll count it! Messing around, playing. 7-8-13-11-19-12-17-15-16-24-20-24-20-22-22-17-15-14-15-12-14-14-16-5 for a total of 24 iterations.

Code: Select all

x = 16, y = 7, rule = B3/S23
3ob3o$obobo$obob3o$obobobo7b2o$3ob3o6b3o$14b2o$13bo!

And glider number 06, 90 or 9006 leads the chain to 3 streets. I'll count from them. 18-19-23-19-26-15(2)-19-6(9)-5(8)-5(9)-5(9)-5(12)-5(11) in general, then there is zero spark. And 6 cells, like in my grandfather's glider (10-8-6-5). It turns out that he is also a grandfather glider (6-8-6-5). Well, that's how it should be 2 grandfathers, 4 great-grandfathers!

And mbjg-seed is listed among the 6090 - I will not write the code. The first one got caught...

It consists of a 5x5 arrangement of B-heptominoes that use their gliders to produce some more. Those heptominoes' gliders, in turn, are used to create one more layer of B-heptominoes.

Thank you. Nicely. In fact, the diamond-shaped field turned out to be sown with a "pentonym," or, as I call it, an mdgj-seed.

Code: Select all

x = 53, y = 188, rule = B3/S23
o$2o$b2o$2o89$25bo$25b2o$26b2o$25b2o89$50bo$50b2o$51b2o$50b2o!

The rhombus is K 1-2-3, which is a straight line. Cool. Minimal, in terms of the number of spills in different directions.

The correct term is “pentomino”, rather than “pentonym”. Could you please explain what each letter of “MDJ” means?

The shortest definition of "mdgj" is the totality of all Gershil's grandfathers. To be more precise, it's for clarity... Not short. Then this is the "one" grandfather for both the pentonym and the Herschel. And all kinds of natural patterns... I had one entry with a collection of these grandfathers, a pentonym with 1 dot added. It's a pity that she got lost in my messages and incorrect quotes. That's a pretty artistic definition. I was trying to define it. It doesn't work. Hints of backtracking... The generation change is in reverse order. Probably something like that influenced, inspired. How to get the same thing from different patterns. Or generate gliders not with guns. They'll only confuse you more! Something like that!

And the stupidest "mdjg" is when a large starting pattern chews for a long time and ends in such a way that in an arbitrary direction, with arbitrary cuts, everything ends with a herschel (pentonym). Like a house" from which a tree grows. Well, Herschel reminds me of cyfra 4 and the crown of a tree. And such tree seeds are the "grandfathers" of both Herschel and the pentonym.

And of course semetria! And look for rock climbers... I remember accidentally finding a rock climber, I didn't know it was called that. I didn't know what I was looking for. And now I don't really understand. I understand more precisely that a natural frost will definitely not work. But how to mutate tree seeds? What would...
