The unfortunate thing about MWSS makers is that most of them are based on glider-into-pre-block, which creates a LWSS spark during the first cycle, except for the boat- and loaf-based ones (and the pond-based one, which makes a HWSS spark first). This is problematic when making escort ships for OWSS, Schick ships, and some other flotillae.

Nice! That's definitely better than my clunky LWSS rotator (rotater?) - the output glider could probably be reflected back to repeat the reaction.
Also I think the original description (something about reflection) was less confusing than this one, even if it wasn't technically correct.

Dock and snake seems to have potential as a catalyst:

And a variant, taken from my "Weird billiard table catalysis":

Code: Select all

I think that general "box penetration" idea could be used for some other catalyses.

Is there any way to make a useless c/5 diagonal LWSS rake out of this?

Veritably useless. A construction to produce the requisite mesh of still-lifes would far outweigh even the rakes used to infinitely extend the tape of Rendell's UTM.

Well, I don't think it's that hard...

This came out of the Rmango search I was running, and for a second I really thought I hit the jackpot. Oh well.

Gustavo, the fact that you built a loafer gun doesn't mean you can now start flooding all the threads on the forums. Please stick to the dedicated thread. There are enough mentors who are happy to answer your questions and assess your findings.

You contributed a H->LLB! What else can we do? A Longlongboat with a block just behind it would be the only way of using this, ending with a dependent longlongboat conduit. I put a Eater 2 where the glider departs.
Can I put my variant on my thread?
