Can someone identify 46?
I can't see any pattern but:
  1. p is always of the form 2^n-0, 2^n-2, 2^n-4, 2^n-6, 2^n-*even interger*
  2. #2^n-1 always dies out after 2^n-1 ticks
  3. The mod is always p/2
  4. The average heat is always p/4
  5. The temperature aproches 0.41

It can take quite a while to run for some periods - p26 takes a few minutes, has millions of live cells, and would not fit in LifeViewer without changing the maximum grid size or colliding with the edges. I was skimming through the 'Everything else' section in LifeWiki to try and find some patterns that we have in CGoL, but don't have here and should be able to find here, with the right methods. I have created a list of them:
A p4 glider reflector. We have very sparky p4s, and this seems possible, I have done a small amount of testing, and although unsuccessful, it seems likely that it could be successful.
An against-the-grain agarship.
Some equivalent to Ants.
A puffer that is not c/2 or 3c/8. (This has now been added to the goals on the first post due to the significance from my perspective)
An orthogonal or slower than c/4d wickstretcher (also added to the goals)
A pattern with no predecessors (Garden of Eden).
A gun with a period less than 32.
A collection of volatile and strictly volatile oscillators.
An Orthogonoid, Demonoid, some equivalent of the Caterloopillar, or some other unimaginably slow engineered spaceship.
Quadratic growth (already in the goals).
A stable or p2 glider reflector.
A synthesis for a mobile infinite growth pattern.
A period 27 oscillator, or really any other new period.
Finding any of these would be awesome.
Don't worry though, it's not up to you to do all of them! :lol: You better try to do at least one though...
For the p27 one, I think a good idea would be to do some more apgsearching, so can someone get these symmetries to 20 billion objects?

Does anyone know of a way to search for oscillators with volatility 1 or strict volatility 1?
Interestingly, there are no periods where the smallest known oscillator is fully volatile but not strictly volatile, but there is a larger oscillator that is.

B37c/S23-a57 actually might be explosive in large soups, but I just don't know yet.
