This is off topic for the main thread (click quote link to go to it), so I put it here. I do want to point out that you should not force your girlfriend (or any significant other) to do something against her will. This could lead to some issues if you do it repeatedly.

For the case of Beluchenko's P13 or 42P9, couldn't you just directly roll the object as a "soup"?

I've been meaning to get back to this and pack a demo of the pattern into LifeViewer.

Here is the northwest corner of the merge-based Demonoid. Change speeds and zoom in as you wish; LifeViewer should be able to handle the playback just fine on most systems. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, off to the southeast a little bit:

if you're into CA, you WILL come back to conwaylife.com eventually, whether you want to or not. i came back around a year after i had an "argument" because i found real life so boring without any fake Life to play.
i seem not to suffer with it, i can spend days or even weeks at a time without CA even crossing my mind. maybe there could be a few other factors contributing to that fact, but in general it's best not to assume something is true for every case.
I think that's because you have many things else to do. like Deltarune chapter 5

As for me, I have a boring life, so I can even spend hours of time to explore B3-n6n/S1e2-a3-ae4w5q by hand.

I'm not sure about the specific ruletable; however, I think the idea of "toy constructions" deserves discussion and more serious exploration.
How about a "0E0P metacell for kids", or "DOGun SaGaQR for kids", or "RCT for kids"?
Will there also be a CA simulating “General purpose calculator” in Life, and also can be programmed by something like APGsembly language? Say, “Pi calculator for kids”, “Spartan universal computer-constructor for kids”?

There's a rule called Maze.
Feci quod potui, faciant meliora potentes.

There's a rule called Maze.
I mean, a “solvable” maze, which has an entrance and a goal, and a route from the entrance to the goal

The maze made by B3/S12-k3-k4-tc5-ke should be solvable.

Code: Select all

x = 64, y = 64, rule = B3/S12-k3-k4-tc5-ke
!
[[ RANDOMIZE ]]
If you need a entrance/goal you can randomly select one. I can't see a way for a CA to do that.
Feci quod potui, faciant meliora potentes.

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 3, rule = B34twz/S23
